Hello world!

Danielle is sitting in a blue dress and sparkly silver cardigan next to a 3 tier wedding cake, decorated with buttercream flowers next to an installation of real flowers. The flowers on the cake match the real flowers behind.

What’s this blog then?

When I worked in tech (did you know I’m a Computer Science graduate? Did you guess from the title?), I remember a software testing mentor extolling the virtues of writing a blog to me. She explained how it would keep me relevant, show that I’m an expert in the field, keep me interested and up to date with the latest developments… I didn’t take her up on it at the time; I think because my heart was never 100% in testing, I found it hard to get subject matter together, as well as the will to write.

I do know what my heart is in now though.

So here I am. I’ve found myself commenting on a lot of Facebook groups recently, about pricing, knowing your worth as a baker, how to set up as a business from scratch in the UK, making the jump from hobby baker to business baker, from business to weddings, marketing to your ideal clients who will pay your prices, how to set up at a wedding venue, how to calculate portions… The lot. And I realised I have a lot of knowledge to share.

Who’s this blog for?

I’m in the middle of a baking break at the moment, but I love to help people, and always have done. I’d love to work with you for personalised business advice, whether that’s pricing, marketing, setting up in the UK, or helping you find your niche! Please do contact me if you want to chat prices for a coaching call :)

Why should I work with you?

I have 5 years’ experience as a fully registered 5* baking business, moving from baking all the things to nailing my niche, working out a solid pricing structure which allows for profit and covering my wage, and finding my ideal clients who are willing to pay my prices! Before moving full time into baking, I worked as a coach, helping individuals and teams to move on past their blockers so they could get work done efficiently.

I’m not sure yet…

Well, in the meantime, I’ll be posting some thoughts, tips, and tricks here on this page! I hope you’ll enjoy the content, find some bits useful to you and your business, and consider working with me for tailored advice in the future!

If you have any ideas or topics you'd like to read about, leave them in a comment below :)
